Topics

  • Decision making processes when faced with medical or traumatic injury
  • The basic life support mnemonic – DRSABCD, which covers choking, CPR and defibrillation
  • Common medical emergencies – sudden cardiac arrest, heart-attack, asthma, seizures, stroke, diabetes, poisoning, fractures, dislocations, soft-tissue injury and burns, head injuries, suspected spinal injuries, internal injuries, severe allergic reaction and heat and cold emergencies.
  • Major traumatic wound profiles such as gunshot, impalement, stabbing, crush injuries, amputations.
  • Mental health in first aid
  • Introduction to emergency management
  • Comprehensive and dynamic scenarios

It also includes our full Stop the Bleed® unit which covers:

  • Identification and management of different types of traumatic injury including life-threatening bleeding
  • Use of equipment such as tourniquet, compression bandage and chest seals
  • Wound packing
  • Post control casualty care and traumatic hypothermia prevention
  • Foreign bodies and amputations

  5. AV Equipment: We can utilize your AV setup if available.
